Hi, I’m Stan Milne, thanks for visiting my website. The purpose of the site is to show you and hopefully interest you in some of my art work - or keep you up to date with current work, forthcoming exhibitions etc. if you are already familiar with my art.
I have been a member of Paisley Artists club for about twenty years and a few years ago I also joined Glasgow Southern Art Club who meet and work together every week during the winter months.
I suppose I would say that I am self taught, but I have attended many excellent demonstrations at Paisley Artists club and much of what I try to practise now I have learned from these demonstrations.
Over the years I have sketched and painted in various media including pastels and watercolour but tend towards acrylics or oil paints. In the past few years most of my work has been in oils usually on board but more recently I have been using mainly acrylics on canvas. My recent work tends towards a more figurative style which I find can be a lot of fun.
